Coach Joe Brown has over 30  years of coaching experience at most levels in the United States. 

In 1988, Brown earned his national “A” license from the United States Soccer Federation, offering 26 years of soccer coaching expertise.

Those 26 years included:

•15 years with USL

•11 years with the Carolina Dynamo

•4 years with the Delaware Wizards

During his stint with Delaware, Joe Brown led the Wizards to 3 Northeast Divisional Finals and was named Atlantic Division Coach of the Year in 1993. In 1999, the Carolina Dynamo advanced further than any other USL team in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, before bowing out of the tournament to the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.

•In his career, Joe Brown has also been a staff coach for Delaware and Maryland's Olympic Development Programs. Prior to his years in the USL, Brown coached at Delaware Tech Junior college for two seasons where his Spirit teams were ranked in the NJCAA top 20 both seasons.

–In 1991, the Spirit team reached a high record ranking of 10th in the Nation. 

•Brown spent 10 years coaching at A.I. DuPont High School in Greenville, Delaware, winning 4 Blue Hen Conference titles and competing in the state playoffs for 8 seasons, including4 state Semi-Final appearances.

•In 2000, Brown was appointed Head Coach of the Region I team that competed in the US Soccer Festival. 

•In 2002, Coach Brown was inducted into the USL Hall of Fame and named USL Executive of the Year. 

•In 2003, the Carolina Dynamo won the USL Pro Select League Regular season championship under Brown, when he was selected as Pro Select League Coach of the Year.

•In June of 2005 with a 6-2 victory over Raleigh Elite, Brown broke the record for the most wins in the Carolina Dynamo Club's history.

•In 2006, Brown led the Carolina Dynamo to an undefeated PDL regular season National Championship, only the 7th team to accomplish this in the 21-year history of United Soccer Leagues. 

•The 2006 Carolina Dynamo advanced further than any PDL team in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup with the victories over Cape Cod, Richmond Kickers (USL-2) and Seattle Sounders (USL-1) before losing to the Houston Dynamo of MLS. 

•Brown was selected PDL National Coach of the Year in 2006.

•In 2006 and 2007, the Dynamo won back-to-back South Atlantic division titles and in 2007, the Dynamo reached the National quarterfinals in the Southern Conference Championship game. Padua Academy Head Soccer Coach

•In June 2010, Joe Brown took over as Head Coach of the Padua Academy Women’s Soccer Program.

•The Pandas advanced to the Delaware State Tournament Semi-Finals in 2011. Under Brown’s leadership, the Padua Pandas won State Championships in 2012, 2013,2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

•Padua Academy Women's Soccer program has been continued to earn national ranking under Brown’s leadership.

–top 10 in the Nation in 2012

–13th in the Nation in 2013

–18th in the Nation in 2014.

–11th in the nation in 2015

•In 2016 Padua reached #2 in the NSCAA National Poll, and won their 5th straight Championship.

•In 2017, Padua reached the State Finals for the 6th consecutive year.

•Brown’s Padua Academy team earned the school’s record 9th State Championship in 2018 and finished 21st in the Final United Soccer Coaches national poll.

•Brown’s Padua record is an impressive 130-9-5.
