In high school, Shannon attended St. Mark's high school from 1998-2002 where she led the team to four consecutive state championship games earning three titles, the first in the programs history. She was named the Wilmington News Journal State Player of the Year twice, Gatorade Player of the Year and NSCAA All-American. Outside of her high school team, Shannon competed as a member of FC Delco in Pennsylvania. In college, Shannon attended Purdue University from 2002-2005 where she competed for the nationally ranked, Division 1 Boilermakers. As a boilermaker, Shannon was a member of the program's first national ranking, first NCAA tournament birth, and first appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. In 2011, Shannon became the head coach of A.I. Dupont Girl's Soccer program and still holds the position. In 2013, Shannon became a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association as a Girl's Soccer Committee Member where she oversees, facilitates and manages the Delaware Girl's High School State Tournament.

George Black

George has been involved in the game for 30 years as a player and as a coach.  He played for the 1996 NJ State Cup Champion West End Green Lightning.  He then followed that with a 1997 NJ Parochial A South State Championship with Notre Dame High School.  In 1998, George earned honors as a CVC All Conference player, All Mercer County player and a NJ All State Selection.  He continued his playing career at Wesley College in Delaware and earned a spot in the starting 11 in his freshman year. 

George has been coaching youth and high school soccer for almost 20 years.  He began coaching with his home club, West End Soccer Association in Ewing at the age of 15. From 2001-2004 he was the boys and girls assistant coach at St. Elizabeth’s High School in Wilmington, De. 

In the summer of 2004, George came back to NJ as the Head Coach of the Red Bank Catholic boys soccer program.  He kept that position until 2013 when he joined the WWPSA/ Mercer FC Academy staff.  George coached U11-U14 boys teams for WWPSA and also help form the U14 Mercer FC PSG team from 2013-2015.

Currently,  George is an assistant coach with the Red Bank Catholic girls soccer program as well as a coach for the newly formed U14 RSA Union in Robbinsville NJ.  George spends his summers working with USFT Sports residential soccer camps.  He’s been on the USFT staff for 12 years working camps in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

George is the co-founder and technical director of the Jersey Ultras, a non-profit organization focused on growing the game of soccer through promotion and youth development.  The organization holds youth training programs for ages 5-14 at PEAC Turf in Ewing NJ.  Along with their youth programs, The Ultras sponsor teams in the area, hold events at local businesses and help fund scholarships for college players . 

eddie Gibbons

Staff Coach Brandywine High School - Girls and Boys

Eddie was the head coach at St. Elizabeth’s High School for 14 years from 2002 to 2015. Coach Gibbons led St. Elizabeth’s to the Delaware Division II state finals in 2013. He has earned his USSF National "B" license as well as his Advanced National Diploma. He was also the Head coach for the Delaware ODP from 2000-2009. 

As a player, he was a 2 year MVP, captain, and All-State Player for St. Elizabeth's High School. He went on to play college soccer at Wesley where he was a 4 year starter and captain. He received a B.A. in Social Studies and a Masters in Secondary Education. Eddie is a current premier trainer and head coach at DE Rush.
