Katie Brown , Director of Mental Heath Coaching
Katie Brown, CCH, is a dedicated professional specializing in sports performance and mental resilience. Hailing from Charleston, SC, she initially pursued her education at the College of Charleston. She then decided to embark on a career as a radiologic technologist, which eventually led to her role as head of a women's diagnostic imaging center in Miami and Boca Raton. It was during this time that she developed a profound desire to support women navigating the emotional and mental challenges associated with breast cancer, realizing she had the gift of helping people overcome difficult obstacles.
Following a brief hiatus to raise her three active sons, who were all athletes, Katie returned to her passion for mental training, focusing on competitive athletes, professionals, and individuals grappling with test-taking anxiety. She trained with the Academy of Hypnotherapy and the American Hypnosis and Coaching Academy, becoming certified in sports hypnosis and test-taking anxiety. As a proud member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), her commitment is deeply rooted in a desire to assist athletes in overcoming mental hurdles, especially during times when self-doubt creeps in. Katie understands that the mind is incredibly powerful; when given positive, actionable subconscious and conscious tools, it can overcome any obstacle.
Katie specializes in addressing sports performance anxiety, fear of failure, feelings of comparison, slumps, negativity, and returning from injury. Her extensive experience encompasses various sports, including baseball, golf, soccer, figure skating, and gymnastics, enabling her to connect with a diverse range of athletes. Katie has worked with athletes at different stages of their careers, from youth sports to high school and college athletes, all the way up to professionals and Olympians.
Having personally navigated the challenges of sports-induced anxiety with her sons, Katie recognizes the importance of finding effective, natural solutions that apply not only in sports but also in everyday life. This firsthand experience has fueled her passion for Clinical Inner Mind Coaching, a healing method that inspires her to help others. With her program, MentalPrep4, Katie aims to empower individuals and athletes to harness their mental strength and achieve peak performance. Her unwavering dedication to supporting others through their mental training journeys is at the core of her work, making a meaningful impact in the lives of many.
Real Feedback
“Katie has helped me so much throughout the years. Whenever something’s not feeling right or I’m down on myself I hit her up and I’m out of my slump in no time. I can always count on her to help me in every situation. The recordings she makes are no joke and have helped me get to where I am in my career and will continue to help me grow not only on the field but off the field too. By giving me words of affirmation and encouragement it helps me to not only be able to perform on a high level in game but also outside of baseball, in school and other stuff in life. ~Brady M. “One night back on my Katie recording and I had my first game of ALL solid at bats” Hit a double that was 104ev off the bat and looked great. My dad said “seems like she always pulls you out of a bad spot” and I said “yes she does” .Even with all the crazy resources I have in pro ball, it still remains that a Katie Brown recording pulls me through Noah F. (drafted by Texas Rangers after high school)”
“Now, as a college gymnast, I continue to use the techniques Katie taught me, and they still empower me during competitions. I can't recommend her enough! Her approach has made me a force to be reckoned with at any competition, and I truly owe so much of my mental success to her." ~C. Bennett”
