Sue Adams, Director of Medical Health Services
Sue Adams, MS, FNP, APRN-BC is a highly accomplished and board-certified Family Nurse, Practitioner with over three decades of clinical, leadership, and educational experience across, diverse healthcare settings. Her professional journey is rooted in a strong academic foundation, holding a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) and a Bachelor of Science in, Nursing from Pace University, as well as a BA in Psychology and Business from Iona College, where she was recognized with the Sullivan Award.
Sue’s clinical expertise spans pediatric hematology/oncology, physiatry, and family practice, having served in advanced practice roles at the Medical University of South Carolina,
Montefiore Medical Center, and Jacobi Medical Center. Most recently, she has provided, physiatric and rehabilitation services to adult populations in skilled nursing facilities throughout Charleston, South Carolina. Her prior role at MUSC involved direct care of hematology/oncology, patients aged 12 and up, ensuring evidence-based care in alignment with NCCN guidelines. Sue has also held prominent leadership roles that reflect her strategic vision and commitment to health services innovation. As Director of Health Services at The Masters School, she led pandemic response efforts, developed comprehensive health protocols, and collaborated on wellness curriculum development for grades 5–12. At Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, she oversaw care for 169 medically fragile children and led a team of Nurse Practitioners. Her previous positions in school health included system-wide oversight of public and independent school districts in New York, where she coordinated services, chaired advisory councils, and championed concussion management and wellness initiatives. Her teaching and training roles are equally distinguished. Sue served nearly two decades as a pediatric clinical instructor at Pace University and developed in-service programs for Montefiore Medical Center’s Pediatric Division. She has designed and led critical care courses, resuscitation training, and continuing education for healthcare professionals. Sue is ANCC board-certified, licensed in New York, and holds advanced certifications including PALS, ACLS, BLS, and yoga and health coaching credentials. She is an active member of professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Sigma Theta Tau, and the National Association of School Nurses. Her leadership extends to public service, having served as President of the New York State Association of School Nurses and as an appointed member of the Council on People with Disabilities in Scarsdale, NY. Known for her integrative and compassionate approach to care, Sue combines her clinical excellence with a passion for wellness, lifestyle medicine, and holistic health. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid runner, dancer, and certified yoga instructor who enjoys music, theater, and inspiring others to live healthier lives.
